Building Permit:
Building Permits Required.
Any person, firm or corporation desiring to erect, repair or remove any building within the City limits of the City of Roscoe, shall make application for a permit to the City for a permit for such purpose and furnish a plan and specifications sufficient for the City to determine whether such building, alteration or repair is in compliance with the provisions of this Chapter and, if granted, such permit must be signed by the Mayor or the Finance Officer.
There is no fee for a building permit.
Peddler's License:
City Ordinance 6-4-2
A peddler's license is required for any person traveling from place to place, home to home, street to street for the purpose of selling or soliciting for sale of goods, wares, merchandise, or services, other than agricultural products produced or processed in this state; and shall also mean and include any person transacting a temporary business within the City. Peddler includes the terms "solicitor", "transient or itinerant merchant or vendor", "transient or itinerant photographer", or "canvasser". A license can be obtained from the Finance Officer or Mayor, and is valid for two (2) consecutive days. Any person, firm, or corporation violating this is subject to a fine of no more than $200.00.
